To strengthen their position as leading provider of in situ instrumentation for Transmission Electron Microscopy, they are looking for an Application Engineer, to be positioned in Gothenburg, Sweden.
As Application Engineer in EMEA, you will work in tight collaboration with their Area Sales Director in EMEA, to drive sales and customer support. You will be in direct contact with electron microscopy laboratories at universities and companies in all countries in Europe. You will probably also make occasional travels to USA and Asia. The head office of Nanofactory Instruments is located in Gothenburg, Sweden, and you will establish a strong relationship with their R&D and marketing functions there. The position requires that you are able to work independently, but still as an integral part of their global team. They put very strong emphasis on your personal values and attitudes.

Required experience
BSc/Msc/PhD in engineering physics, material science, nanotechnology or microelectronics
Approximately a year of direct experience of working with Transmission electron Microscopy (TEM)
Skills in TEM specimen preparation in the field of materials science, nanotechnology or semiconductor structures
Basic experience of electric measurements
Optional experience
Experience with Focus Ion Beam (FIB) specimen preparation
Scanning Tunneling Microscopy (STM), Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) or Nanoindenter experience
Experience from technical sales support
Personal traits:
Strong customer orientation
A combination of excellent team working skills and self supported personality
Curiosity and an exploratory approach
Solution-oriented
Knowledge sharing attitude
Fluency in English is a requirement, knowledge in other languages such as German, French, Japanese, Chinese or Korean is a bonus.
Since travels are often occurring you must appreciate business travels
