Can you apprehend complex problems within a short time frame, and are you conversant with EDI or technical interchange? Then you are most likely our new EDI Specialist at Arla IT in Aarhus. We are responsible for driving the EDI agenda for the entire Arla business - across organisations, geographical borders and business areas. This job will give you an outstanding chance to improve and expand the EDI activities for the entire Arla Foods' business on a global scale. Secure top-class EDI solutions on a highly international scale
Your comprehensive plan is to develop, drive and lead the implementation of Arla Foods' EDI strategies together with your ambitious and skilled colleagues. The objective is to ensure that we have appropriate and absolute top-class EDI and interface solutions and processes that match our present and future business needs. We fully depend on the efficiency and stability of our EDI and that our numerous transactions are securely operated. Your activities will span solution design, estimation, implementation, test and deployment phases, and you will have a key role in the entire project process acting as a liaison between our service partners and business partners. You develop and expand the relations to our customers and vendors and familiarise yourself with their needs and requirements. Additionally, you perform the necessary enhancements and in this way make sure that our existing solutions are up to date and efficient at any time. Besides, you disseminate your acquired knowledge for the benefit of the entire organisation. Lastly, you secure ongoing problem solving, 2nd level application support, as well as you facilitate training and provide supplementary tools. Depending on the actual project, you will have some travel activity to Sweden, the UK and in Denmark locally.

Problem solver with deep technical insight
First and foremost, you possess a solid technical insight and are well-versed in EDI, or you have acquired knowledge of technical interchange or other integration areas. Besides, you have solid business acumen and are most likely familiar with XML, FTP, AS2 and formats and methods like EDIFACT, ANSI and TRADACOM, preferably from employment in the retail or logistics line of business. If you are also skilled in SAP and SAP IDOC or similar ERP systems, it will be a major advantage. But most of all, it is crucial that you master a broad range of expertise such as to read and validate logical maps, understand the business process and collect and analyse business and technical requirements. You will also need excellent communication skills and the will and ability to handle our many outsourcing partners. You thrive in a highly specialised working environment, are comfortable solving even tricky and critical problems, and you never give up until the right solution is found. English is Arla Foods' corporate language, and you must therefore be able to speak and write it fluently.
