DONG Energy Exploration and Production (E&P), a subsidiary of the DONG Energy Group, conducts upstream operations in oil and natural gas. We operate and participate in a wide range of offshore exploration and production activities in Denmark, the Faroe Islands, Greenland, Norway and the United Kingdom.

The E&P business unit has experienced significant growth over recent years, and faces interesting new challenges in future across our expanding portfolio of exploration, development and production assets.

Our Danish Operations & Facilities division operates the Siri Platform with the satellite platforms Nini, Nini East and Cecilie. In this division we have a department in Esbjerg, Project Engineering, which is responsible for execution of all C-Projects in E&P (a C-project is defined as a project with value < DKK 50 mill.).

For this Project Engineering department in Esbjerg we seek an experienced Electrical, Instrumentation and Telecom (EIT) Engineer who will be responsible for all engineering matters concerning execution of C-projects. The candidate will be the link between existing operations and project, ensuring that the project delivers facilities that meet existing operations and maintenance requirements and experience.

Your main Tasks

  • Responsible for handling E&Ps C-projects related to all EIT engineering
  • Handling interfaces with other disciplines (process, mechanical, technical safety, environmental, operation & maintenance, etc.).
  • Ensuring that experience and learning from existing EIT systems are obtained from relevant parties and incorporated into the design.
  • Ensuring that the quality of work is of the highest standard while ensuring that all tasks and targets are achieved within the project schedule and CAPEX.
  • Supporting facilities engineering activities relevant to the offshore and onshore facilities as required by the selected development concept.
  • Participating in developing EIT engineering concepts and strategies.
  • Assisting and participating in all project decision gate and technical reviews so as to ensure E&P´s technical quality objectives are met.
  • Participating in Value Improvement Practices to ensure that the technology and associated costs meet the project objective.
  • Procurement and follow-up on documentation.
  • Co-ordination for installation/offshore resources.
  • Perform offshore surveys, offshore execution of test and commissioning.

Your profile
We expect that you hold a Bachelor’s Degree in electrical/control engineering and have:

  • 5 year's experience as a minimum in electrical/control engineering on technical projects in the oil and gas/petrochemical industry.
  • Relevant electrical/control engineering experience with offshore oil & gas projects, preferably designed according to North Sea/NORSOK design codes and standards.
  • Work experience with all relevant codes, standards and industry practice.
  • Strong knowledge of legislative requirements relating to all EIT engineering design.
  • Experience with project management.
  • Preferably some operational and maintenance experience and practical knowledge of design.
  • Experience from working for an oil/gas production company, or alternatively a contractor or supplier.
  • Experience from working with and managing engineering/ contracting companies, fabricators and equipment suppliers.

Furthermore you are a self-motivated team player with a positive mind and a strength for executing.

As you will have many interface you should have good communication skills and be fluent in English – oral and written. Also you should have a general understanding of our operational premises and our approach to HSE.
