Experienced Reference Designers

Job description
We are looking for experienced RF HW Design Engineers that will work in our future projects. In these positions you will be part of a team developing the RF part of the Reference Designs for mobile communications from early product requirements to customer deliveries and support.

This includes system requirements analysis, writing detailed design specifications, handling link budgets, schematics and PCB layout design and complete verification of the reference designs. During the life time of the projects there will be opportunities to face the customer and provide support when they are implementing their end products based on our reference design. We also provide support to other parts within the company. The positions require over-seas travelling.

We expect you to have a broad technical knowledge of the building blocks in the RF area and follow the development in new mobile communication systems and devices in order to understand the consequence for the RF hardware. We expect you to be experienced in the use of various simulation tools to perform calculations & simulations of system and sub-block performance. As we have development sites globally we appreciate experience from cross-site co-operations.

We expect you to be result oriented and with the customer in focus. The position implies personal responsibility for work methods and completion of tasks and is focused towards hardware design for existing and future Modem platforms. We are also interested in capability in driving trouble shoot activities, system integration activities in small teams depending on personal skills and interest.

Competence

• M. Sc. E.E. or similar education/experience with at least 5 years of relevant experience
• Broad technical knowledge of the building blocks in the RF HW Reference Design area
• Experienced in the use of various simulation tools
• Knowledge of measurement techniques and lab automation
• Ability to lead and perform trouble-shoot activities
• 3GPP awareness (GSM/EDGE/WCDMA/LTE)
• Communication and co-operation skills
• Strong focus on results including customer focus and an interest in exploring new areas
• Excellent English skills, both verbal and in writing
• High ability to work independently, take initiative and drive own work
• Good social and networking skills to support teamwork in a project
