Field Service Engineer

Our Client is a global Company specializing in medical related technology and it is looking to hire a Field Service Engineer to support its rapid growth. The FSE position will be "home office" based working in the field at Client's sites performing direct service activities on the Client's products. The position requires travel throughout the Nordic countries (80%) and the rest of Europe (20%). The ideal location of candidates will be close to Stockholm. The position reports directly into the Field Service Manager for Northern Europe.

Job description

• Provide instrument training to customers
• Install instruments at customer sites. Typical customers are hospital laboratories and private laboratories
• Provide emergency service and repairs as requested by customers
• Maintenance and accuracy of assigned inventory
• Special assignments and administrative duties as directed by Field Service Manager or designate
• Communicate and document customer feedback to Field Service Manager and/or appropriate departments
• Promote service agreements to customers
• Perform other assigned duties as required
• Routinely complete administrative paperwork, such as but not limited to: Time Reports, Expense Reports, Service Agreement Quotations, Equipment Site Assessments, Inventory Reports, Internal Laboratory Reports, Equipment Checklists, RGA Forms, Field Service Reports.

Requirements

• University degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field/equivalent
• At least 2 years professional experience as a FSE or Maintenance Engineer on complex equipments within electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems
• Technical proficiency servicing instruments in the field, and a general knowledge of corporate related processes and disciplines
• Strong interpersonal and customer satisfaction skills
• Possess initiative, drive and a commercial acumen
• Ability to accurately trouble shoot on site and diagnose issues as described over the phone by Field Service Engineers/customers
• Good knowledge of the Office package, diagnostic instrumentation and equipment
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Swedish
