Maersk Line IT/ Delivery Management - IT Development Manager
Maersk Line IT is currently seeking an experience IT Development Manager to support current system development activities that are part of a strategic program, the SOA Integration Solutions portfolio. It is the intention of this program to continue to develop the existing ‘service oriented architecture' (SOA) based platforms and will be scaling this activity up a great deal over the next year and beyond. The successful candidate will be located at the heart of a strategic program that will play a huge role in reshaping the systems and delivery management landscape of Maersk Line IT in the future.

The Role
The position of IT Development Manager is primarily focused on the management and coordination of development activities for the core ‘build team'. All development activities are managed using an Agile/Scrum based approach and have been doing so for approximately a year and half. As such, the role requires that the candidate have a high level of technical understanding relating to system architecture and software development but also to be familiar and comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum team. Given that the build team work is managed using the scrum model, the IT Development Manger role will share responsibilities with the Technical Lead and coordinate the direction and activities for the various platforms. Within the team structure, both of these roles and areas of responsibility are clearly defined. The current platform strategy is also centered on the use of continuous integration and automated deployment activities. A large part of the work activity will focus on not only building but optimizing the current platform operations.
The candidate must have a minimum of 6 years working experience, including a 4 year college degree that is related to some technical field, ideally involving computers systems. Having performed actual coding in the past is also a big advantage. Previous work experience will include some of the following; systems operations, development manager, software developer, software development support and project management. This position will be reporting to the Delivery Manager within ADLT.
