Then you might be our new Communication Solutions colleague in Randers.

The Communication Solutions Team is part of Service Delivery - Operations in Group IT and is responsible for the operation and maintenance of Vestas´ IP-based network and IP Telephony on Vestas locations all over the world.

You will be part of a modern global IT-organization and a member of a global network team consisting of highly skilled and highly motivated colleagues from various countries. The network team has a high degree of independence.

You will be based in Randers and you will report to the Director of the Communication Solutions department (Network).


Responsibilities and Tasks
Your primary responsibility is Vestas´ IP network in Europe.

Your main tasks will be participating in the day-to-day monitoring, maintenance and operation of our Cisco-based IP network - primarily in cooperation with your future colleagues in the network team.

You will also participate in general system management activities, including performance and availability management, capacity planning, configuration management, housekeeping etc.

Furthermore you will be involved in maintenance and further development of our network monitoring system and network documentation.

Qualifications and Work Experience

  • Relevant technical education will be preferred with relevant Cisco certifications or similar (CCNP, CCVP, CCSP or other)
  • Minimum two years of experience from a large business network - preferably with main responsibilities in areas as network monitoring and network documentation
  • Excellent working knowledge of Cisco switches/routers and routing technologies
  • Excellent working knowledge on Cisco wireless technologies
  • Knowledge of Cisco VPN Concentrators, ASA/PIX Firewalls, Cisco-based IP Telephony is an advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of network monitoring tools and technologies. It will be an advantage if you have working knowledge of CA monitoring tools (Spectrum, eHealth)
  • Knowledge about video conferencing technologies and solutions will be appreciated
  • Knowledge and experience of ITIL methods and Service Desk tools is an advantage
  • Ability to work professionally and structured and to document your work is mandatory
  • Speak and write English fluently
  • Focussed on teamwork and being a team player, and at the same time being able to work independently and goal-oriented.
  • Good communication skills and ability to cover both end-user communication and technical high level communication with colleagues and consultants
  • Flexible concerning work place and working hours.
  • Willing to be part of an on-call team.
     

Additional Information
Your primary work location is Randers, but some travel activity must be expected.
