Nordic Solution Manager BI/DW

The position:
To continue the development of our business, we are expanding our Data Management & Quality department and we are now looking for an Nordic BI/DW Solution Manager to strengthen our team.

The BI/DW Solution Manager will play a central role to strengthen our
BI/DW solution management practice for current platforms as well as our ongoing extensive change programmes, including our Solvency II programme and the new Nordic Enterprise Data Warehouse project.

To be successful in this role you should possess proven business understanding from the financial sector balanced with strong technical skills.

Location is Copenhagen/Stockholm. The position is Nordic and will entail travelling.

Responsibilities:
As BI/DW Solution Manager you are the overall custodian for RSA
Scandinavia's Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse platforms. You will drive design and development of BI/DW solutions on an enterprise level to meet current and future requirements.

You focus on improving solution management of current BI/DW platforms (SE/DK/NO) with internal BI teams and outsourcing partners as well as establishing an effective solution management for the new Nordic Enterprise BI/DW platform.

The responsibilities include:

• Overall responsibility for BI/DW solution and life cycle management
• Securing operational stability and availability to standards, SLAs and KPIs.
• Planning of development, enhancement and maintenance of the BI/DW solutions together with key stakeholders in IT and the business
• Securing effective handover from projects to business as usual
• Supporting projects and enhancements in architecture alignment, overall solution integrity, design, and sizing as well as validating partners' estimates/proposals
• Manage solution design for BI/DW solutions based on best practices
• Ensure collaboration and the right services delivered from areas such as: Architects, Infrastructure, Partners, Solution Managers/Designers and the business functions

Your profile:
We are looking for an experienced 'self managing' IT professional with proven track record from the entire life cycle of BI/data warehouse development.

The right candidate for the job holds solid understanding of data management methods and practices and strong practical understanding of BI/DW best practices.

Other key skills:

• Experience from working with multiple BI products and platforms (decentral/mainframe), including ETL (e.g., MS, SAS), Databases (MS/SQL, SAS, DB2), Reporting front-ends (e.g., Business Objects, MS, SAS). Insight into Dimensional and Relational Modeling meriting
• Analytically skilled with the ability to quickly define and drive the necessary tasks to completion with a practical/pragmatic approach cooperating with the business, our projects and related experts
• Financial services experience is meriting, ideally from general insurance
• Good stakeholder and communication (oral, written and presentation) skills are keys to success, enabling you to present complex subjects in a simple way.
• We expect you to be a true team player with a good sense of humor.
