Function
After a period of training on CERN's cryogenic systems, the successful candidate will be responsible, on the ground and remotely, for:
- Operating the LHC cryogenic system, including trouble-shooting, emergency interventions and maintenance support, depending on requirements and situations.
- Updating the operating procedures, in particular with respect to the safety rules.
- Managing technical documentation.
Qualification required
Higher technical diploma or equivalent in industrial instrumentation, physical measurements, process engineering.
Experience and competencies
The experience required for this post is:
- Up to 5 years' in the monitoring of industrial processes and/or experience in the field of commissioning and operation of complex electromechanical plant.
- Specific experience with complex industrial processes or cryogenics or vacuum technologies would be a major asset.
The technical competencies required for this post are:
- Knowledge of thermodynamics.
- Knowledge of cooling process and regulation.
- Use of data acquisition and treatment software.
- Good knowledge of English or French and basic knowledge of the other language or an undertaking to acquire it rapidly.
