Project Manager with a strong Electrical & Automation Engineer background to DONG Energy Exploration and Production (E&P)

DONG Energy Exploration and Production (E&P), a subsidiary of the DONG Group, conducts upstream operations in oil and natural gas. Our Technology and Operations division provides advanced engineering services to develop, operate and maintain our offshore installations in the North Sea. We have five sections within the division of which one is Offshore Technology, where we are responsible for providing competences and processes within facility engineering and modifications for all activities in E&P. Project Manager
We are seeking a Project Manager with Electrical & Automation background to head the Siri Life Extension project team. The candidate will be employed as a member of the Electrical & Automation department and amongst other things, will contribute with technical knowledge throughout the department.

The Project Manager will be responsible for all Electrical, Instrumentation, Telecom, Mechanical and project management matters concerning the project. The Project Manager will be heading a project team of 5-6 competent project engineers, a project coordinator and a document controller. The project manager will furthermore be the lead engineer of the Electrical & Automation activities within the project.

The Project Manager will be responsible for the Siri Life Extension throughout concept selection, preparation for execution, execution and handover to production and to ensure the project is executed in accordance with applicable standards, best practices, the Dong Energy Exploration & Production project model and to the Owner's requirements.

Your Tasks

• Head of the project team
• Lead engineer for Electrical & Automation project matters
• Re-assess the established project within the frames of the Project Charter including organization, scope of work, budgets, plans, and framework conditions for its execution
• Execute overall project scope and manage interfaces
• Controlling and reporting on project activities and results and taking corrective actions
• Ensure that proper experience handling is planned and organised
• Implement industry best practices
• Identify and handle events that may influence the project
• Ensure the quality of work is of the highest standard while ensuring all tasks and targets are achieved in accordance with the project charter
• Participate in developing Electrical & Automation engineering concepts and strategies, especially on the telecom side
• Responsible for all project decision gate and technical reviews so as to ensure DONG's technical quality objectives are met
• Ensure that DONG´s technical and reporting requirements within the work specific field is implemented and duly updated
• Do technical reviews, when required

Your profile
We expect that you hold a Bachelors Degree in Electrical/ Control engineering, are a certified project manager, and have:

• 10 years minimum in Electrical/ Control engineering and project management on technical projects in the oil and gas/petrochemical industry
• Relevant electrical/control engineering experience on offshore oil & gas projects, preferably designed to North Sea/NORSOK design codes and standards.
• Working knowledge of all relevant codes, standards and industry practice.
• Strong knowledge of legislative requirements relating to all Electrical & Automation engineering design.
• Preferably some operational and maintenance experience practical knowledge to impart to the design.
• Experienced working for an oil/gas production company, or alternatively a contractor or supplier.
• Experienced working with and managing engineering/contracting companies, fabricators and equipment suppliers.
• Project experience and familiarity with DONG or typical industry project model.
• Practical and commercial approach and ability to negotiate at all levels
• Self-motivated, team player, humble with perseverance to execute
• Good communication skills, including oral and written reporting, Fluent in English
• Proficient computer skills with modern day PC application packages, MS Project, MS Office
