The job
Bang & Olufsen is searching for a Supplier Quality Engineer to Procurement. The Supplier Quality Engineers are important cornerstones in ensuring the right quality on all supplied parts to Bang & Olufsen.

You will be working in close integration with suppliers, production and R&D for both the Automotive and the Audio Visual segment. The position will right from the very early stages in the formation of a new product over successful implementation in the production and into running production secure the part quality.

The position is a part of the Metals category.

The job will cover both external and internal business relations where you will be quality responsible for a number of suppliers in very close corporation with the entire Procurement. You will also work closely with the suppliers to ensure a solid and sound development in their quality performance.

Main responsibilities will be

• Quality responsible for a number of suppliers on all quality related aspects, including follow-up on quality issues on parts in running production.
• Participate in the early stages of new products to secure integrated product development - including the suppliers - and following it into running production.
• Deliver solid and qualified supply setup for new products - supporting the innovative spirit in the R&D process.
• Ensure development of Suppliers to meet our demands on Quality, including international standards such as ISO9001 and ISO/TS 16949.
• Ensure feasibility of design - Constantly work with "Design for manufacturing" and "Challenging the design" as your guide line.
• Establish and maintain Quality agreements between suppliers and Bang & Olufsen.

The position includes some travel activities - 20-50 days a year.

Department
You will be employed in the Procurement department. Procurement is responsible for all supplier related activities in the Bang & Olufsen Group covering all business units.

The Procurement department within Bang & Olufsen is a perfect blend of a good social atmosphere combined with space for the individual expertise in all the processes related to Purchasing, covering the full range from Strategic Purchasing, Supply Chain Management to Quality Management.

You will be part of a Metal Category Team which consists of Purchasing Managers, Supplier Quality Engineers and Purchase Planners.

Qualifications
You are a qualified engineer with experience with quality management. You are a skilled analyst with an interest in and talent for quality processes management. You have solid experience with quality systems (ISO 9001, ISO/TS16949, VDA, PPAP etc.).

"Cost hunting" and "Design for Manufacturing" is naturally for you even though it requires a great amount of persistence. Understanding of manufacturing processes as well as the design is a prerequisite.

You are used to a lot of external activity, and you are able to keep a good atmosphere even in tough situations.

Language is no issue to you - you are able to communicate orally and written in Danish and English, preferably also in German.

You are organized and focused, can identify problem issues and take relevant action.
