Senior IT Project Manager

Would you like to lead large strategic IT implementations? Do you get motivated by applying new systems within Supply Chain Operations?

You will get a unique opportunity to manage large scale IT projects, where you are responsible for leading the entire project management process from project planning, organising and resource allocation over managing the team to ensuring timely deliveries within the agreed budget and quality. You ensure that the solutions are compliant with the IT strategy, architecture principles & business requirements, and you define test and roll-out strategies. The time lines are often ranging from one to three years with total cost of up to 50 mio. DKK or more.

Even though the majority of your time is on large scale projects, you will also lead smaller projects with shorter time frames and budgets and will at times manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strategic global implementation
Your first project is our on-going strategic implementation of WMS at our manufacturing sites around the globe. This covers everything from inbound, outbound and production to internal warehouse processes. It is a challenging implementation and your job is thus to anchor the project and align to expectations among a large stakeholder group. Hence, you orchestrate excellent stakeholder management and ensure commitment throughout the organisation. You work closely with the Business Project Manager, the Enterprise Architect and the project team in order to ensure that the project is successfully implemented.

Even though your base is in Billund, you will hold a global position as the system must be implemented at all our sites. This means that you work closely with the local sites, ensuring commitment and implementation anchored in the local culture. Due to the nature of the position you should expect up to 40 days of travel per year.

Strong IT Project Management track record
You hold a relevant master degree within business administration, information technology, engineering or similar. You have a strong track record of IT Project Management and large system implementations in international settings. Experience with SAP implementation is an advantage, preferably within supply chain operations. You get motivated by bringing your project management experience into play, and hence are eager to influence the continued improvement of our project model and methodologies.

You have the ability to engage stakeholders in a dialogue about the solution and facilitate a proactive solution design without actually getting involved in the technical development. You can build lasting relations with all business units, and you manage to lead projects leveraging on cultural differences. You are eager to learn and getting to know the organisation as well as being enthusiastic about driving projects using your strong collaboration and leadership skills.
