Senior SAP Technical Architect - Maersk Line, Copenhagen, Denmark

We are looking for a Senior SAP Technical Architect for an open position in the Enterprise Architecture department.

Enterprise Architecture ensures that Maersk Line IT pursues excellence in Enterprise Architecture and, specifically, technical architecture by providing strategic direction, standards, and consultancy to our internal clients as required. The Technical Architecture function is responsible for developing and providing the necessary architectural framework (Technologies, Standards, Methods, Tools) to enable delivery of innovative, responsive, cost effective and workable solutions to the business in an optimal and timely manner and meet the business and service level objectives of providing scalable, available, high performing, and supportable IT infrastructure services and minimising the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for the services that Maersk Line IT provide.
The Maersk Line SAP implementation has over 12,000 users and comprises a.o. the following SAP modules: FI (incl. TEM, Workflows, In-house Cash), CO (incl. Rev Rec), SD (incl. Variant Config), MM, FSCM, SRM, BW, SEM (BCS/ BPS), SolMan, KW, and XI. 3rd party tools in use: IXOS, Open Text, Omada JPM and MDM, Vertex, Synchro.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the technical reference architecture for our SAP implementation, including interfaces to other business systems, including booking, operations, sales, planning, BI, etc.
• Develop and maintain roadmap for future optimized usage and phase-in/-out of SAP modules according to business requirements.
• Define the high level technical solution architecture on critical projects and ensure that the technical architecture principles, guidelines and standards are applied fully and consistently across projects and the chosen solution is appropriate for the requirement.
• Ensure architecture compliance by reviewing and approving the Technical Architecture for individual projects
• Maintain an up-to-date SAP expertise on plans, trends and technical opportunities available in the IT market and develop specialist knowledge and expertise across key technology areas to contribute to the formulation of the longer term technical strategy
• Lead and motivate the organization to adopt best practices in maintaining quality, efficiency, performance and cost effective systems solutions
• Ensure ongoing communication with all stakeholders to share knowledge and provide architecture leadership worldwide
• Maintain an up-to-date expertise on current architectures within Maersk Line. Ensure that these architectures are known and applied where applicable.

Nature and Scope
Senior IT Architect reports to the Chief Technical Architect. Work closely with the Chief Technical Architect, other IT Architects, Application Project Managers, Application Prime Movers, Portfolio Managers, Applications Development Vendors, and Technical Infrastructure Management/Facilities Management.
