For the Global Siting department in Brande, Denmark, we are looking for a Siting Software Engineer. The department is globally responsible for the development and implementation of new tools and methodologies for micro siting, terrain and climatic evaluation, wind resource mapping, and wind turbine load evaluation. Global Siting comprises dedicated wind experts who coordinate wind and site related activities with colleagues around the world.

Work Assignments
As a Siting Software Engineer you will assist in the development of wind resource analysis tools, and your responsibilities will include programming internal tools used in connection with micro siting, wind resource assessment and load approvals.

More specifically, your work assignments will include:

  • Designing, programming and documenting internal software tools
  • Enabling seamless interaction of different tools and optimizing work processes
  • Supporting regional end users and performing bug fixing

Your Profile
Preferably, you have a Master's degree in software programming combined with a thorough knowledge of VB.NET and C#.NET, and ideally of C and C++. In addition, you have a basic understanding of Matlab as well as an excellent knowledge of VBA and Excel. You are familiar with Microsoft SQL or other relational database and have experience in working in a UNIX/Linux command line environment.

As a person you are result-oriented and quality-conscious, and you have a structured and systematic approach to your work. You possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders. You thrive in a dynamic environment and have the ability to successfully work on multiple projects simultaneously and to manage priorities and meet deadlines. Furthermore, you possess excellent English skills both orally and in writing.
