Developing fitting software
You will become part of the Oticon Medical R&D team based in Smørum. You will however have close collaboration with colleagues, both in Gothenburg and inside Oticon, Smørum. You will join a team that focuses on developing future versions of fitting software for bone anchored hearing systems. More specifically, based on the requirements from e.g. customers, marketing, management and project management, you will assist in defining, designing and developing new features for the Genie Medical fitting solution. In your new role, you have the chance to influence your own projects and processes and work broadly with all aspects of software development. This obviously requires you to enjoy taking responsibility and work independently.
The software is developed in C# with Microsoft Visual Studio 2010.
Our expectations to you
We prefer you to have a degree at MSc level in computer science, software engineering or equivalent. Furthermore, you have gained some years experience, ideally as a developer within the medico industry, so that you are familiar with developing software that adheres to legislation, rules and regulations. However, working as a developer on large scale projects within e.g. the finance or insurance industry could also be a relevant background. Alternatively, you may have gained your experience from a smaller software development company, where you have worked with all aspects of the development process. If you have worked with firmware, then that is definitely an advantage.
In terms of your technical background, you have developed windows applications, and more specifically:
Alternatively, you may have worked with C++ and/or Java. In addition, knowledge of the SCRUM methodology is an advantage.
As a person, you thrive in a position with an extensive interface, including client exposure. You can work independently and consider yourself a self-starter and motivator. You understand the value of sharing knowledge with your team and you do not mind working on various tasks simultaneously.
