Solution Architect with expertise in End User Computing/Microsoft

As a Solution Architect with Dell in Copenhagen you will be responsible for supporting the Sales Account Teams in design, planning and implementation of distributed and centralized IT Infrastructures in presales activities.

Design will be based on Dell products, non Dell products (hardware and middleware), IT processes and limited applications. You will also be responsible for the post sale delivery activities associated with these complex sales by planning the implementation of the IT Infrastructure, namely resources, capacity plan of Dell and non Dell teams, project timeframe and technical commitments. Furthermore you could also act as technical project manager on large and complex projects.

Job specifications

• Responsible for the IT Architecture design, planning and implementation in the End User computer/Microsoft area
• Pre-sales responsibilities (40% of time): Acting as the main technical point of contact between Dell customers, account managers, Solutions Group and Dell partners
• Technical lead as required for projects during the pre-sales phase
• Maintaining and utilizing detailed industry knowledge, including expert working level knowledge of Microsoft processes and technologies
• Collaboration with Engagement Managers and other Solution Consultants to ensure the integrity of proposed solutions including full responsibility for validating the complex solution design proposed
• Constructing risk assessments and corresponding remediation plans relative to complex solutions proposals
• Monitoring the construction of detailed financial models that align with complex solutions proposals
• Post-sales/delivery (60%): Composing and validating of the Statement of Work and other documents, using departmental automation tools, methodology & all relevant expertise's as available, to craft detailed and accurate deliverables that specify the processes, technology etc involved in proposed solutions
• Acting as a "trusted expert advisor" in his technology area to both internal and external customers, ranging from formal advice to internal and external customer presentations
• Following all organizational Standard Operating Procedure relative to cost modeling, approvals and reviews, and all other associated workflows and deliverables
• As a member of a Dell project team, the Solution Architect has to deliver the full architecture design including all technical components (HW, Middleware, Applications if needed, IT process) as well as planning all resources (Dell, Dell Services Providers, contractors or sub-contractors) to project timeframes with milestones
• On large and complex projects, the Solution Architect could act as a deputy project manager or technical project manager under the responsibility of the project manager. On simple projects, the Solution Architect could be also the project manage
