Controls & Compliance Manager, Microsoft Denmark

Main responsibilities:
Compliance
Educating, in-person training and evangelizing risk management and control requirements across all segments in Microsoft Denmark as outlined by Internal Audit and the Western Europe Compliance Manager.
Conduct 12 annual Subsidiary Compliance Assessments in close cooperation with the respective segment(s).
Proactively drive the compliance agenda in Microsoft Denmark.
Be an active part in the Danish Compliance Advisory Board comprising of LCA, HR and Finance.
Active participation in the Western Europe Controls & Compliance community.
Coordinate all requests from Internal Audit during various remote as well as onsite internal audits.
Sox - Perform Sox control on monthly salary.

Headcount controlling:
Perform monthly headcount sign off
Budgeting, forecasting and ongoing variance monitoring of headcounts
Work closely together with HR on all headcount issues regarding new hires, terminations, salary, incentive plans etc.
Oral and written Management reporting

Experience & Competencies:

  • Demonstrated experience in working with senior management teams
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguous situations and changing business requirements
  • Be able to scale from detail to high level strategy
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines 
  • Ability to work independently 
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and across teams

A benefit, experience with internal audit and compliance in general, but not a must.
This is an individual contributor role working closely with the respective segments, HR and the Western Europe Controls & Compliance community with no people management responsibility.
This position is within The Financial Controlling Team, reporting to the Financial Controller: Rene Brodersen.
