Curriculum Vitae

Since 2007 I have started attending Panevezio Juozas Balcikonis gymnasium. There I got involved in programming with Pascal and C++. With my IT teacher's help I was able to prepare for a lot of computer science related competitions and Olympics in which my results exceeded all my expectations. I was able to combine my creativity with programming skills when I had to prepare two projects - one at the end of 1st form of gymnasium and another at the end of 3rd form. For the first project I needed to create a website for my class. The task was very demanding: it involved a lot surveys, distinguishing useful information and making the website attractive. As the project was successful, I just had to choose another similar project two years later. For this one I had to create a Flash based computer game. Needless to say, I had to learn a completely new programming language - Action Script 2, and make all the models myself. Since the later project was even better than the first one, I decided to continue studying Flash platform because in my opinion, it allows a person to combine the best of his or her programming skills and creativity. During the same year, I also participated in national English language Olympics. The best and brightest Lithuanian students of English language competed there and I was awarded with a second degree diploma which meant that I was second so I believe my English skills are sufficient for studies abroad.
Almost immediately after starting learning programming languages, I have started working as an online freelancer and have been doing that ever since. To my mind, it helps me develop a better sense of responsibility because I have to meet all the employer's demands and deadlines. For 8 years now I have been a member of Lithuanian scouts and for the last 4 years I have been a member of Panevezys scout council which is responsible for all scouting activities in our town: we organise camps, trips, trainings for young scouts and various acts of kindliness, like going to orphanages and amusing the children, showing them the beauty of the nature.
In addition to this, as I am very sociable, I try to spend every minute of my free time with friends because being alone almost makes me feel uncomfortable. During summer, my favourite activity is bicycle rinding, since it allows me to see the most beautiful parts of my country which we usually miss while driving a car. However, since it is impossible to ride bicycles, I enjoy visiting my relatives very often as family contact is very important for me. Also, during weekends I prepare food for my family because I want to help my parents as they have already done so much for me.
