Software Test Engineer

Dear Mr. /Mrs. Hiring Manager,
I have completed M.Sc in Software Engineering at ‘BlekingeTekniska Högskola', Karlskrona, Sweden. Here, I worked closely on software development methodologies like Waterfall, Spiral, Prototype and agile methodologies (Scrum, XP and FDD), Software Project Management, Software Verification and Validation, Quality inspection, Global Software Engineering and Market Driven Requirements Engineering.
As a part of my bachelors and masters studies I have gained a strong knowledge base in Software development life-cycle, Software Testing and Project Management. Also a well-balanced practical experience in C-programming, C++, Java, Web Technologies (HTML, CSS, Java Script), UML, UNIX (Shell script), PHP and MySQL, prove that I am well competent for being a software programmer.
I am seeking a suitable position in the field of Software Testing. I have experienced with creating Test Plans, executing Test Cases, Manual Testing and Automated Test Execution. From my studies I have gained good understanding about different software development methodologies and software development life cycle. And also I have gained what type of testing has to be performed in different phases in SDLC.
Roots in testing have started from my bachelor's with the Software Testing Course. Later, I applied my theoretical knowledge in practice in my bachelor's projects by doing manual testing. In my master's, I did software verification and validation course, and the course standard is equal to ISTQB-foundation level. It helps in improving my knowledge and understanding on testing and my steps then turned towards the automated testing.
As a part of Software verification and validation course, we have developed a logic in C programing and performed branch-testing, statement testing, condition coverage testing, multiple condition testing manually. Moreover, developed test cases and test data and finally performed block-box testing methods such as Equivalence partitioning and Boundary value analysis, and also performed a Fagan's and Glib inspection processes for open source code.
In my academic project, as a team leader, I have developed a web application and performed manual and automation testing. I used automation testing tools like load runner for performance and load testing, Selenium IDE for functional and performance testing and Quality Center to manage test cases and test data.
I am interested to work as a software tester. It would be of great help and advantage to my learning, if I get an insight into a concern such as yours.
