You will join a group of 10 Drupal developers responsible for web shops in 18 countries and other smaller sites, all based on Drupal. IT Department is distributed over Denmark and Ukraine with reference directly to Danish office.

JYSK’s web business is growing. It became business critical and we are looking for Drupal developers to join our team in Aarhus, Denmark.

You will have the following areas of responsibility:

  • Help us develop modern, mobile-friendly web sites in 18 countries in close cooperation with our web/marketing department ( etc.)
  • Improve and rollout of our E-commerce solution with a custom e-commerce engine with Drupal as frontend
  • Follow Drupal coding standards and best practices, review code of other developers
  • Ensure creation and maintain operations procedures, documentation both for own team(3’rd level) and for 1’st and 2’nd level
  • Participate in daily skype meetings with team in Ukraine and other colleagues

This position is perfect for you if you...

  • Have deep knowledge of Drupal 7/PHP development (2+ years of experience) including building own custom modules and OOP
  • Show skills in frontend development using Html5/LESS/JQuery and modern Javascript frameworks
  • Be experienced in integration with various APIs via REST and JSON, XML
  • Understand approaches and technologies used in high-loaded web sites (caching, SQL queries optimization, Memcached, Varnish)
  • Experience in making of mobile-friendly sites using responsive web design principles
  • Have basic knowledge about Drupal technical setup and the Linux platform
  • Speak English fluently, both writing and speaking
  • Being pro-active in communicating with own team and other departments
  • Be able to form new ideas and ‘sell’ them to our web department (i.e. be part of the idea process)
  • Ensure creation and maintain operations procedures, documentation both for own team(3’rd level) and for 1’st and 2’nd level
  • Feel good in a busy environment, where there always tasks and something that can be improved
