Application Technician for development and operation of Clinical applications

Your responsibilities as an Application Technician  

In your daily work on applications for the pharmaceutical industry, you will have the opportunity to take on a number of different roles.  

We have technical experts working in depth with the various technologies used, but need you as a technical lead or solution architect, to be the link between technology and business. You have a wide technical understanding and are able to ensure that different technical experts are working in the same direction. You are able to communicate both across various technical areas as well as explaining complex problems to both customers and management in a simple manner. 

We work with both implementations of standard applications as well as customized applications build from scratch. We code and script, develop interfaces, perform error searches, data extraction and customizations and configurations. In addition, we offer technical support, where you will be involved in complex problem solving and optimization of the running application in a dynamic, well-structured and professional support environment. You will often be the link between the company and technology specialists and suppliers. 

With your analytical skills, acute mind and flair for customer service, you will function as a sparring partner for customers. You will carry out analytical tasks, and offer customers recommendations regarding upgrades, new technical solutions and new functionality.

You will have the opportunity to further develop your qualifications among some of the country’s best technical profiles in our business and technical area, and using your own experiences and personal drive, you will contribute toward developing our business.  Our team works internationally, with colleagues in Denmark, China and Czech Republic. It is expected that you will have strong communication skills and an understanding of cultural differences. We hold weekly meetings between Denmark and China, and maintain an ongoing daily dialogue regarding specific problems and tasks. This will place further demands on your professionalism and ability to see the whole picture.    

Your qualifications and experience  

Your personal drive and inquisitiveness, in addition to a high professional level will determine your success in this position. You must be able to see the full picture and take responsibility across deliverables, sparing and working with technicians within different technology areas as well as application experts and developers. 

You are by nature a technical specialist, a seeker with an inquisitive mind, and this has given you deep professional insight which you are happy to share with your customers and colleagues.  

You have a strong interest in your specialization in applications and system integration on several levels, where your solutions must meet very high standards of documentation and quality.  

You are not limited by technologies, and you have experience with or consider yourself capable of learning the following areas:   

  • Clinical domain knowledge 
  • Regulations governing the pharmaceutical industry and GxP 
  • Clinical Data Warehouse, Clinical Data Repository, CTMS, CDMS, IVRS and EDC 
  • ETL 
  • Oracle Database 
  • SQL and PL/SQL 
  • Scripting language (i.e. VBscript) 
  • Java 
  • Windows application servers and web servers (IIS) 

You have the necessary business acumen for both NNIT and our customers, and an excellent command of both written and spoken English.  

You might be an experienced architect with a history of working with complex business applications or a developer moving into a technical lead role, you might have experience from the pharmaceutical industry within the clinical area, or you might be less experienced, but comes with a relevant educational background with high grades.

This is a very multifaceted position and your personal expertise and experience will be a determining factor for your role and position in the team.
