Business Analyst for Operational Process Improvement
Maersk Line IT is searching for a business analyst to support critical projects that change our operational processes. Maersk Line Operations embarks on some large scale projects that will enable us to cater for the future of the biggest shipping liner.
The successful applicant leads the process of working with the business to analyze and define future operational processes.
You will drive the process to understand business requirements and translate them into detailed functional & non-functional requirements. In addition you will analyze the existing often complicated application and process landscape and propose changes to help streamline our operational activities.

You will be gathering functional requirement for application development /selection and advising on the final requirements specification as well as analyse data flow within current system landscape to gain full understanding of existing landscape.
Other key tasks will include:
- Carrying out complex business process mapping, business process reengineering and business process analysis wherever needed
- Providing recommendations to the business on solutions, taking into account any cross functional impact in a second step
- Creating a strategy for designing and implementing new business processes
- Ensuring the right level of functional knowledge in the technical team
- Reviewing and approving UAT scenarios and training materials
- Delivering training on new processes and solutions for the business
- Final sign-off for the technology side for user testing
- Reviewing testing approach and materials to ensure business requirements are met
- Assisting in Third Line Support of production issue resolution as it pertains to business processes
- Auditing business blueprint/design documents for configuration readiness
Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate will have Extensive Solution Delivery experience and have solid experience in managing design, business processes or enterprise functional architecture or manage overall IT enterprise strategy.
You will be a subject matter expert in liner shipping processes or alternatively from other logistic industries.
You also have experience with creating Compelling Business Cases on complex subjects or subjects that are new to Maersk.
You also have experience with Designing for Usability and Requirements Management and Analysis. You are an expert in different processes or solutions and possess expert Business Process and IT Solutions knowledge
You have a strong process oriented approach to work and excellent attention to detail together with an analytical mindset.
You possess excellent communications skills – ensuring a high level of communication with key stakeholders and internal team members.
You are a resilient team player who is goal-orientated and demonstrates a high level of commitment and thrive in an international environment.
