Software Developer for test automation
Are you looking for a job that combines your software skills with your interest in hardware?
We are on the search for a new colleague who can help us further improve our product quality. And as you do so, you get to grow and improve your own skills – whether you are fresh out of school or already have work experience. We welcome talented candidates from either category.
DOMS ApS is a dynamic and solid company with more than 50 years of experience in the petrol industry. We are approximately 35 employees in Glostrup, Denmark, and as part of Gilbarco Veeder-Root, the world’s leading provider of petrol station automation. We work with colleagues worldwide.
Ensure automatic testing of our software and devices
At a modern gas station, you will find a wide range of technical equipment – from fuel dispensers, tank gauges and price poles to payment terminals and sales systems. All these or periphery systems are managed by our forecourt controller, which is based on an in-house developed embedded platform.
As the newest member of our QA and support team, you will play an important role in keeping the standards of our embedded software as you design and test electronics and software. Doing so, you help further develop our test automation software, which is written in Python. You will be working in a real-time development environment, which sets high standards for how we communicate with the remote units at gas stations across the world.
Build your career in a cross-functional team
To make sure you have the best possible basis for success in your new role, we will make sure to give you a comprehensive introduction to the industry, our product and the development process. You will be welcomed by a dynamic QA team with experienced developers as well as supporters and trainees. As we work cross-functionally (and internationally), you will also collaborate with our general software and hardware teams in Denmark, India and the US as well as with colleagues from the Gilbarco Veeder-Root Global Reliability team (QA).
In this role, there are great opportunities for professional development in terms of on-the-job learning as well as additional training. Moreover, you will get the opportunity to become our international QA representative if your interests lean towards the collaborative side of our tasks.
Software developer with an interest for hardware
We are looking for a colleague who enjoys working with hardware as well as software. Your interests range from small hardware devices to PC-based applications, and it would be a big plus if you are able to craft small PCBs with the support of our hardware lab team.
Based on your level of experience, we will make sure that you are continuously challenged professionally. You just need to bring the ambition and motivation to acquire new skills.
- You are most likely an engineering technician or have a similar background.
- You have programming skills in Python.
- You possess a good understanding of data communication (TCP/IP and serial links).
- You speak and write English – and as a minimum, you are interested in learning Danish.
