Experienced Java Developer

- for Spring Microservices Landscape.

On behalf of our client Printix, Bloom is looking for a passionate Java developer who has a great interest in startups and Software as a Service. The company was founded by experienced entrepreneurs in 2014 and already has 12 employees. Printix develops a SaaS Print Management platform, and they have come a long way going global.

So if you are an experienced Java developer, like the Linux platform, and would like to join Printix on their exciting journey, this might be the perfect job for you. 

Key accountabilities and activities

Printix backend runs on Linux on AWS (moving to Azure) and is developed in Java using Spring and a Microservice architecture. 

Examples of tasks could be development of business logic, integration to Office 365/Azure, analysing and delivering data to the user Dashboard, development of a billing service etc.

You are involved in the entire development process from defining the architecture in cooperation with the team, coding the solution or parts of it, bug fixing, creating unit tests and other automated tests and deploying the improvements production. You will be responsible for the code from A-Z and work in a team of seven developers. 

In Printix they release code several times a day, so it's important that you are comfortable working in a continuous delivery environment. 

Professional skills

  • You have at least 5 years of experience as a Java developer and preferably Spring experience
  • You are skilled in Linux
  • You are comfortable running the code from A-Z
  • You are used to working in an environment with Continuous delivery and integrations
  • It is an advantage if you have worked with different Cloud set-ups and SaaS in particular
  • It is equally an advantage if you have worked with Azure, Cassandra, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, ZooKeeper and MongoDB

Personal qualities

Printix expects you to be passionate about software as a service and Microservices. They are looking for a pragmatic, yet structured developer, who is a skilled communicator and enjoys working closely with other people. The art of team work is crucial to this position.

It is important that you are good at organizing and prioritizing your work. It is an advantage if you are interested in creating and developing things and enjoy seeing the result of your work. You must also be eager to learn and curious regarding new technologies.
