Software Development Engineer

Would you like to create the software that is used by the world’s biggest space agencies?

As our new software development engineer, you will be part of a team of 6-7 passionate developers, working closely with the rest of the company. At TICRA, we strive to evolve and collaborate to develop state-of-the-art software that enables space agencies and spacecraft manufacturers to create high-performance communication links in space and on the ground.

Develop software that analyses satellites and radio telescopes

Your daily work consists of software development – it could be a new function in our graphical interface that enables the European Space Agency (ESA) to visualise a new type of satellite antenna, for bringing internet to the most remote areas of the world. Or you change the way graphs are shown, which ultimately implies that we can communicate faster or look even further into outer space. Also, it could be customer support, where you help the biggest space companies world-wide with installing or running your software.

You develop visualisations, interfaces and graphics that make our new powerful algorithms look great. In doing so, you make it easy for experts around the world to take advantage of our unique computational engine without worrying about the heavy math beneath.

C++ will be your primary tool, and you will also get to work with and develop skills in Qt, OpenGL and CAD.

You will work in close collaboration with our antenna specialist in all phases of the software development process from requirements specification to building final releases.

You are a C++ expert and experienced with GUI development

  • You are an MSc in computer science, engineering or a related technical field. Alternatively, you hold equivalent practical experience.
  • You have excellent C++ programming skills
  • You are experienced with graphical user interface development
  • You are a good communicator in spoken and written English
  • Finally, you are a citizen of a NATO/EU country
