Are you a master in sourcing, negotiation and contracting within IT and Telecom? Are you good at building strong relations to key and strategic suppliers, representing a large international organisation? Then you might be the colleague we are looking for to take up the exciting position as Strategic IT Purchaser in VELUX IT.
You will be responsible for the planning, execution and follow-up on global and corporate strategic IT purchase activities within the IT and Telecom category, with primary focus on corporate and group-wide agreements. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation and within VELUX IT.
Your area of responsibility includes:
- Lead strategic sourcing activities, supplier negotiations and contracting events in the IT-TELE purchasing category, in close collaboration with the category manager
- Develop solid cost or business cases for sourcing activities and contracts
- Identify and address cost-down and cost-avoidance opportunities, in collaboration with IT Cost Management and the category manager
- Identify complex or emerging contract risk areas, in collaboration with IT Contract Management.
Your primary tasks include:
- Partner with key and strategic suppliers in strategic development and relationship building
- Execute approval and signature of contracts and purchase orders
- Monitor, analyse and report global IT spend figures
- Support the IT category strategy development
- Coordinate activities within the Purchasing, Cost and Assets department.
The position is part of IT Management Support, where we also work with Enterprise IT Architecture, Project Portfolio Management, Project Excellence, Cost Management, Asset Management for hardware and software, IT Service Management, IT Performance Management and End User Productivity. You will be part of our IT Management Support coordinator team based in Kolding.
Being part of a global organisation, you can expect to travel approx. 10 days per year.
You have solid hands-on experience with strategic IT purchasing activities in an international company. You have the ability to negotiate, execute and implement complex deals in a timely fashion, and to strategically develop our suppliers and their products and services. From your experience, you are probably used to collaborate and negotiate with suppliers such as SAP, Microsoft and HP.
Strong communication and collaboration skills are ‘a must’. You have a strong commercial mind-set, and probably see yourself as an independent person with a strong drive, getting your energy from achieving goals. You are committed to delivering high-quality, visible results to internal stakeholders and colleagues.
You are a frequent user of Excel and PowerPoint, and maybe analytics tools such as SAP Business Objects or similar. You have good presentation skills, are well organized, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects in a deadline driven environment. You may have relevant team coordination experience.
You will engage with stakeholders throughout our organisation, why fluency in Danish and in English, both orally and in writing is a prerequisite.
