Our client, Universal Robots(UR), develops and sells solutions that support the use of robots by companies throughout the world. UR currently has more than 400 employees in the Group, both nationally and internationally. Group IT is based at the company's headquarters in Odense. Group IT is scheduled to take over the operation of R & D's Linux environment shortly. This implies a need for additional skills in Group IT to ensure that R & D has a well-functioning and supported development platform.

The candidate will be employed in Group IT with 5 dedicated and competent colleagues. As an employee of Group IT, you become the focal point of the operation and further development of UR's Linux environments. You will have critical influence on the way Linux is used in the organization and how it integrates with the rest of UR’s IT environment.
You will primarily work with Linux configuration and support. You are able to provide the best service to your end users and have a proven track record in understanding business processes in UR’s entire value chain. You naturally contribute to the stability and reliability of the Linux platform, which is measured in having a high “up-time”.
Specifically, the candidate will have the following key tasks:
- Supporting UR's Linux users
- Daily operation of Linux infrastructure
- Designing, developing and documenting Linux infrastructure
The most important success criteria for the candidate is to have satisfied Linux users.
UR has over 20 nationalities represented at location in Odense and the group language is English. Therefore, fluent English skills, both orally and written, are required.
You are responsible and curious. You have built up a broad knowledge of Linux based infrastructure. You have a good business understanding that governs the changes in today's IT landscape and the impact of these changes on the rest of the organization. You have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience from a similar position and you are a competent and professional IT supporter who has a proven track record of supporting a Linux platform. You have a positive mindset and you work in a structured way. Furthermore, you are perceived as a good problem solver.
The right candidate will have an educational background as AP in Computer Science or similar.
