Program Manager – Instrument Development

Instrument Development is a central part of the R&D Department and we are responsible for driving projects from concept to launch. This is a challenging and fun task often consisting of inventing new solutions with talented colleagues across the company striving to make a difference and deliver successful cutting-edge instruments to our customers.

The position 

You will be one of seven Program Managers each in charge of one of our strategic segments. As Program Manager for Raw Milk Testing you will be responsible for both overall program management as well as lead projects of high technical complexity. The project teams consist of a variety of highly skilled technical team members from many different areas such as mechanical and electronic engineering, software, chemistry, micro biology, optics etc., as well as cross functional team members from Sales and Marketing, Production, Logistics and Service. In addition, you will be responsible for managing a competent group of 5 mechanical staff.
This will provide you with the opportunity of both working at a strategic level as well as being part of the exiting process of developing concrete solutions. We are therefore looking for a new experienced Program Manager with the desire to make a difference and help us deliver successful projects on time and budget.

The candidate

To be able to fulfill this role we expect you to have:

  • A strong technical background with a scientific master in mechanics, electronics, physics or another relevant education
  • Extensive experience in both program and project management of all phases of instrument development from system design to market launch, preferably leading cross-functional teams
  • Sound experience as people manager
     

As a person you enjoy the possibility of both working with a strategic long-term perspective as well as diving into the technical details guiding, coaching and supporting team members when needed. Your approach is agile and result oriented with an ability to execute.
You are energetic and persistent with the ability to lead cross functional project teams staffed with people who have different skills and views. People enjoy working with you, because you are inspiring, have a positive mindset and is constructive even when you are challenged and deadlines are tight.
You have strong communications skills and can motivate your surroundings. You probably also have commercial experience and are aware that our key priority is developing and delivering solutions that cater to the needs of our customers.
Lastly, it is a requirement that you have a Danish work permit.
