for unique 3D printer technology
For our client XAAR in central Copenhagen we are looking for an enthusiastic software developer, who will join a small but highly competent, driven, innovative and experienced team.
You will play a key role developing functionalities from the ground up for a brand-new and high-speed 3D printer based on world-leading piezoelectric drop-on-demand inkjet technologies. The company XAAR innovates 3D printing; moving from prototyping into production printers.
Your responsibilities will be to implement key elements of the entire software stack: components spanning from machine hardware control to networking capabilities and user experience. You will have significant influence on the final 3D printer product, including web interface, print job control and hardware interaction and monitoring. You will work closely with other hardware and software engineers to design an efficient machine and a robust user experience.
This includes developing the strategies and building blocks to support the software throughout the printers lifetime and som 3rd level customer support should be expected. You will also assist in troubleshooting and analysis of logs and hardware sensor data.
You have an M.Sc. or equivalent in Software development, Computer Science or similar.
You have solid experience in C++ programming, Linux, object oriented design and development. You also have good experience using scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
We also expect you to have experience in some of the following:
- Web interface development, usability and user experience
- http protocol, xml, json, RESTful web services
- Programming microcontrollers, embedded C programming
- Machine control software
- ROS (Robot Operating System)
- IT security theories and encryption
- CAN bus systems
- Automated test systems, continuous delivery (e.g. unit testing, system testing, Jenkins, Docker)
- Git version control
As a person you have drive and are passionate about what you do. You give excellent attention to detail, whilst stil having an appreciation for the bigger picture. You have the ability and drive to find solutions to complex problems.
Working as part of an international company, you will need to be fluent in written and spoken technical English.
