We are looking for an IT Service Desk Engineer to join our global IT team. Our IT department is responsible for supporting, operating and developing our IT systems, which are primarily based on windows environment.
Reporting to our IT team leader, your main duties are to ensure that our systems remain secure, documented and operational at all times. You will also assume a proactive role, ensuring that various systems/technologies used for e.g. communication, collaboration and data center operations are current and aligned with Pentair requirements.
The job is based at our headquarters in Fredericia, from where you will provide minor Tier 1 support and primary Tier 2 helpdesk support and desktop administration by analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolve issues relating to desktop hardware and software.

Some of the day to day tasks on your table will be:
- Receive and respond to incoming helpdesk tickets
- Create and Manage User accounts and Group memberships
- Effectively communicate and work well with team members and 3rd part vendors
- Ensure all Sarbanes Oxley documentation is maintained
- Assist with driving the standardization of the Service Desk
- Develop and maintain Lean and ITIL procedures
Skills and abilities
Some of the skills and abilities we are looking for are:
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills in Danish and English. Understanding of French, Italian or German is an advantage
- Excellent technical knowledge of computer hardware and software including Windows 7, Windows 10, Office 2010 and printers is required. Basic Server, Database, networking and Linux insight is a plus.
Solid IT Service Desk Experience
You have a relevant IT education like Bachelor informatics or similar education and a minimum of 2-year experience in an IT Service Desk environment.
It is also an advantage if you have insight into:
- Windows server in general, SCCM, VMWare, backup
- Citrix – Xenapp
- SharePoint, Salesforce, Dynamics AX
- Video conference systems
