Manager for Major Incident, Problem & IT Risk Management
Can you put out IT fires – or, better yet, stop them from occurring in the first place? And do you love working with people?
Join DSV to lead teams that ensure the optimum uptime on our IT systems – and set the stage for solutions that may affect more than 43,000 colleagues worldwide.
Lead and develop an international team of IT specialists
You will join our IT Service Management department within IT Operations in DSV Global IT. Here, you will manage 2 teams responsible for Major Incidents and Problem & IT Risk management. Your primary responsibility will be to create an environment that utilises your teams’ resources in the best way possible. Thus, you handle daily operations as well as team meetings, 1-1s and employee development.
Through trust-based leadership, you set direction for your team and encourage team members to continuously influence and optimise their processes. The Major Incidents team focuses on solving business-critical incidents here and now, and through the Problem and IT Risk team, you will facilitate root cause analysis and prevent future incidents.
You will have 5 employees at our Danish headquarters in Hedehusene and 2 in Warsaw, Poland. Though part of your role will be to lead from a distance, you will travel to Poland 1-2 times a month to check in on your team and ensure an open dialogue.
Experience with major incident management – and a trust-based leadership style
Due to the nature of our work in Major Incidents, you can expect a sometimes hectic work environment. Therefore, you must be able to balance business demands and sense of urgency with creating a set-up that is conducive for your team to do what they do best. Hence, you see it as part of your role to safeguard your team. Moreover, you are comfortable providing progress reports to senior management as we imagine that you:
- have experience with major incident management from a global organisation
- have a well-equipped management toolbox
- preferably have some project management experience and an ITIL certification
- have a strong process mindset and a matching skill set
- are a strong communicator who speaks and writes English effortlessly

At DSV, we aim to deliver solutions to our customers in a safe, simple and effective way. Thus, making sure that our IT systems have minimum down time is key to ensure that 43,000 colleagues in 80 countries all over their world can achieve this goal.
