Dynamic Team Leader for IT team in Maintenance Department - Nr. Vium

The position is based in our Maintenance department, at our Ingredients Plant Danmark Protein, located nearby Videbæk.

You will lead our IT Team in Maintenance, which consists of 7 experienced colleagues with different backgrounds within IT/Operation Technology (OT), IT/OT infrastructure, IT compliance and IT system management. The team is part of the Maintenance department at Danmark Protein and is responsible for maintaining the IT/OT part of the production systems that are crucial for production and packaging in the factory. The IT team’s job is to implement changes, correct errors, optimise and maintain the production IT/OT systems and provide support to the users of the systems. Furthermore the team runs diverse IT projects and collaborates closely with external IT consultants and vendors. Since we are a Food Ingredients company, all operation and maintenance of the systems must be in compliance with our instructions and documented to maintain validated state. To cover the need for support in the production 24/7, the team has an on-call service.
As Team Leader, you implement the IT strategy for the site and ensure that the IT team can support the production, and you ensure coordination of operation, security and development within your area. You lead by example, set the direction, and ensure that your team is highly motivated. You are responsible for your team’s performance and you follow up on it by, among other things, setting targets and following up with your employees, managing board meetings to provide overview and coordinating the tasks at hand. Furthermore, you motivate and develop your staff, ensuring that we have the right resources and competences at hand at all times. Finally, you lead by following the LEAN principles, where continuous improvement and systematic problem-solving are a natural part of everyday work.
You will be a part of the Management team in Maintenance with 5 other leaders, and you will enjoy a broad range of contacts internally as you will collaborate closely with the production teams, the management teams and external stakeholders.
You have an academic degree within engineering, IT or equivalent and solid work experience with IT systems and infrastructure in a manufacturing company or from a consultancy.
Ideally, you have gained 1-3 years of experience managing a team either as Project Manager or as Team leader. It is an advantage if you have in-depth knowledge of SLA agreements and IT systems such as SAP, Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA). Experience and/or interest with Industry 4.0 is expected.
As a person, you have a strong quality mind-set, and you have the ability to prioritize and lead the team even in busy periods where you ensure that support tasks and project deliveries are properly planned and executed.
You possess a solid ability to build relationships and create trust with both internal and external stakeholders. Further, you communicate clearly with many different stakeholders and are committed to both supporting and empowering your team. This includes giving feedback, coaching and developing your employees. Finally, as all members of the production teams speak Danish, you must have proficiency in this language.
