Your professional and personal qualifications
In this role, you will be setting and achieving ambitious goals for yourself and the team to ensure success. Your peers perceive you as very knowledgeable in IT operations overall. You have a logical and systematic work approach and seek to optimise your team's efforts through efficient management of your available resources.
You have a relevant IT education with a degree at bachelor’s level as a minimum. You have some years of leadership experience within IT Operations, preferably from an international company. Perhaps you are ready to make a move to the next step in your career...
You must have a proven track record in IT Operations and support of Windows enterprise environments.
You enjoy motivating, inspiring and working with your team. You are proactive and driven by optimising IT operation and processes, preferably based on ITIL, to ensure a stable and cost efficient IT operation.
You can stay calm and keep on track even “when the sea is rough”.
Our working language is English, so we expect you to be fluent both in writing and speaking.
Your new workplace
You will soon be able to leave your mark. Our new IT operations manager will be responsible for a team of six highly dedicated IT people. You will play a key role in defining as well as following up on KPIs for the team. The position reports to Head of IT.
The team offers first level support to some 200 land-based users worldwide, the majority of which are at our head office in Hellerup.
We are in the process of migrating systems from on-premises solutions to cloud-based solutions, so you will play an essential role in transforming our operations to support this. We work with the newest technologies from Microsoft, Citrix and many others and you will be part of key decisions on how we apply these technologies.
We have outsourced most of the technical operation of our IT systems, network and servers as well as large development tasks. In this position, you will work in close cooperation with our technical partners to ensure smooth running of the above.
Working hours are 37 per week, however mutual flexibility is important as the dynamic and demanding shipping industry never sleeps.
