Software Developer

Are you looking for an opportunity to accelerate your personal and professional development within business application development? If you’re also excited by agile ways of working, then BESTSELLER IT might just be the place for you!

We are on a journey towards becoming truly agile. With fast-moving product-oriented teams, BESTSELLER IT is organised to bring closer together the people, processes, technology and information required to enable our business to create results.

The team

You will become part of an autonomous product team of highly skilled cross-functional colleagues – all with insights about various aspects of our products, technologies and engineering practices.

We have end-to-end responsibility for planning solutions, and we always search for new ways of creating value, while continually improving our existing solutions.

In BESTSELLER IT the atmosphere is more like that of a start-up than an IT department with hundreds of colleagues. We have rapid decision processes, there is room for experimenting with new technologies, and we move fast from idea to execution.

The job

Your primary responsibility will be to develop and improve software solutions that help our demand and supply planners make better planning decisions - thus improving BESTSELLER’s bottom line. You work full-stack as part of a product team in close collaboration with our Tech Lead and three other experienced software developers. We work dual-track Kanban (product discovery in parallel to continuous delivery) and practice MVP-based development in iterations.

Your profile

As a person, you have a strong desire to learn and understand new technologies. Being part of a small, agile team, it comes natural to you to share your knowledge and to inspire and support your colleagues. You contribute constructively to team discussions, and you enjoy finding creative solutions to complex problems together. With your critical eye and sense for detail, you deliver quality code and take ownership and feel accountable for the team’s results. You thrive in a role where you collaborate closely with colleagues across the entire business to deliver solutions with the end-user in mind.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience with software development.
  • You have solid experience with ASP.NET, HTML/CSS and Javascript/Typescript.
  • You are familiar with working with databases/MS SQL and APIs.
  • If you also know about Angular or have previously worked with solutions for supply chain management and/or demand planning, you will really get us going!
  • You don’t need to know about SCRUM or Kanban – we will get you there when you join us on our agile journey.
