Team Leader - Application Service Management
DS Smith is a leading supplier of corrugated packaging and is present in 37 countries, employing around 27.000 people. We are looking for a Team Leader for our IT Department, reporting directly to the Regional Application Manager. The position is based at DS Smith’s Danish head office in Grenaa.
The IT department is regional based in DS Smith and closely connected to the wider Regional IT Organisation. As the Application Team Leader you will be responsible for an efficient and effective support and management of applications within the Danish application portfolio. You will be overall responsible for small and medium IT application projects (timeline/resources etc.) in Denmark and work together with Regional PMO on governance of projects. It is therefore essential that you develop and leverage collaborative working relationships with relevant partners within the IT function and with local business stakeholders to deliver an end-to-end service.
In the position you will also ensure adherence to IT Strategy, IT Principles and standards in all solutions and enhancements.
As Team Leader you will lead a team of four Business Analysts, responsible for support and continuous improvements of local and common DS Smith applications. In this role you should ensure that your team is clear on their responsibilities, receives regular feedback on performance and utilizes the range of career development options available. You will also take part in projects, act as a technical expert and work closely together with the business to help realise the business potential of current applications to improve business performance.
Professional experience & requirements
Your background covers solid experience within the area of IT applications where you preferably have worked with SAP. Your educational background should be within IT or business administration either on a Bachelor or candidate level.
Along with a profound understanding of application service management, you possess a deep understanding of stakeholder management, customer focus and have a solid understanding of business needs. As a person, you are result oriented, proactive, accountable and energetic. You have experience as Team Leader where you are used to drive both projects and people. As a leader you have a strong ability to develop yourself and others through continuous learning, sharing best practices, knowledge and expertise.
