R&D Senior Director
Based at the office in Herlev, you will join the Software Development Department within the C2 domain (command and control) in Terma – an area of great focus and importance. The C2 domain employs 110 dedicated and highly engaged colleagues located in offices in Herlev and Lystrup (Aarhus).
Leadership role within software development and End-to-End responsibility
The full title of this position is Head of TEC C2 E2E (End-to-End). The purpose of your department with 20 employees is to execute full lifecycle activities for the C2 domain when it comes to End-to-end solutions and project deliverables out of the TEC organization, in close collaboration with the solution teams (their deliverables to the final solutions) and PMO for all relevant programs.
With reference to the Vice President TEC C2, the key responsibilities in this position are to act as a member of the TEC C2 Leadership Team by striving to implement an execution and performance culture and acting as a role model in the implementation of Terma Leadership Behavior. Furthermore, to support breaking down TEC strategy to strategies and action plans for TEC C2. This implies to identify, strengthen and embed core competences in the TEC C2 organization setup and ensure professional knowledge sharing through internal networks across TEC and TEC C2. All this with a structure where responsibility and authority are clearly distributed and understood, and where best practices are visible.
Key Deliverables in this position:
- Ensuring development and execution of product and customer projects for all TEC C2 lifecycle activities including maintenance
- Ensuring the right capacity at the right cost, time and place for the execution of C2 activities including optimal setup of in-house vs. outsourcing capacity and competences
- Responsible for the technical solutions provided are in accordance with the stakeholders, solutions teams, and architecture team
Performance-oriented with great stakeholder management skills
We are looking for a strong technical and personal leadership profile. You have a relevant higher technical educational background and more importantly, several years of experience with software development in an agile setup (scrum). You are experienced within project management and beneficially program management as well. Finally, you have strong leadership experience and have experience with leading through leaders.
As your department is the gateway between customer projects and the actual development and execution, the greatest challenge in this position is stakeholder management – both internally in TEC C2 and to the rest of the business. Thus, you are a strong communicator and you can motivate and drive your department by your energetic, enthusiastic and holistic approach. Your personal focus must be balanced between people and cooperation on one side and execution and performance on the other side.
