Data scientist for anti-money laundering program

We are looking for a data scientist that can take charge of how we analyze data and how we use this data in our IT-solutions. As a data scientist, you will be a part of one of the highest priorities in BEC, the Financial Crime Program. The program shall deliver IT solutions for the future. IT solutions, which will support our customers by building secure technology that prevent and detect potential financial crime (AML & fraud).
If you wish to work in an area with high attention, then this strategic focus area in BEC is the place where we, in the next couple of years, will be working with some exciting challenges. As a data scientist, you will have a leading role in identifying, prioritizing, and analyzing data and implement new sustainable solutions and technology. A big part of your work will be to determine which data to use to solve a problem. You will, therefore, work systematically and creatively to identify the coherence of data. One of your primary tasks will be to draw up internal data analysis, but you will also participate in meetings with customers in preparation for developing customer-specific solutions. Besides this, you will identify and draw up scenarios in close collaboration with the product owner.
You are first a team player, and you are comfortable working with data analysis and draw up scenarios. You communicate with your colleagues and customers easily. Quality is top of your mind, and you have an analytical approach, which makes it easy for you to familiarize yourself with new areas of work. You have focus and understanding of the customer's challenges within AML solutions, and you take pride in delivering quality.
We expect that you:
- Hold a degree as cand.merc.IT, engineer, software developer, cand.polit. or similar
- Have substantial experience within the financial sector preferably by working in an AML-function or a core banking department
- Have a solid understanding of data (logical and physical)
- Have strong analytical and data skills and understand data domains and related data domains
- Are used to work with data analytical tools (Python, R, visualization, e.g.)
- Understand the need for Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence
- Know UML and ER modelling and architecture modelling frameworks
- Understand workflows and processes
- Have experience with trend analysis.
