Data steward for anti-money laundering program

We want to develop AML-solution of the future together with our customers. We are looking for a data steward who can create and has detailed knowledge on how to use data in our solutions. Do you want to help our customers fight financial crime by delivering excellent solutions?

As a data steward, you will be a part of one of the highest priorities in BEC, the Financial Crime Program. The program shall deliver IT solutions for the future. We must support our customer by building secure technology that prevents and detect potential financial crime (AML & fraud).

If you wish to work in an area with high attention, then this strategic focus area in BEC is the place where we are looking at some exciting challenges. As a data steward, you will be working on developing new solutions, and with an extension of our existing solutions. Your daily work will have a focus on creating an overview and obtain and document detailed knowledge of our data and how to use the data. Data modelling will be a crucial element in your daily work plan. You will be a consultant/sparring partner when it comes to data both in- and outside the AML program and for our customers. You will be working in close collaboration with BEC's department for data governance, and you will act as a sparring partner with AML architects to make sure that their work complies with procedures and standards. You will work together with the product owner regarding solving problems with the quality of the data.

Your profile

You are first a team player, and you are comfortable in your role as a consultant. You communicate with your colleagues and customers easily. Quality is top of your mind, and you have an analytical approach which makes it easy for you to familiarize yourself with new areas of work. You have focus and understanding of the customer's challenges within data for AML solutions, and you take pride in delivering quality with your colleagues.

We expect that you:

  • Hold a degree as cand.merc.IT, engineer, software developer, cand.polit. or similar
  • Have substantial experience within the financial sector preferably by working in an AML-function or a core banking department
  • Have a good understanding of financial crime
  • Have a solid understanding of data (logical and physical)
  • Have strong analytical and data skills, knowledge of data domains and related data domains
  • Are familiar with data analytical tools (Python, R, visualization e.g.)
  • Understand the need for Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence
  • Know UML and ER modelling and architecture modelling frameworks
  • Understand workflows and processes.
