Can you handle being our new SysAdmin?
We believe that communication changes the world and that cutting edge technology is a key part of changing the way we communicate.
Infomedia is a technology driven media intelligence agency. As we reach for our goal of changing the way professionals in the Nordics work with media and technology, we’re looking for a cool, collected individual to empower Infomedia as we work towards challenging the status quo with projects that are innovative, exciting and profitable for our partners, our clients and ourselves through agile processes.
Infomedia has offices in Oslo, Stockholm, Tallinn and Copenhagen. Our new SysAdmin will be a part of our largest office in the center of Copenhagen – right next to the Round Tower. The office is running 24/7 as we have dedicated Infomedians (yes, we call ourselves that sometimes) working round the clock to keep up with the constant inflow of data. The vibe is professional, casual and has a distinct social element that both our employees and our partners point out as a unique trait. We emphasize interpersonal understanding and flexibility, which means that there is time for deep focus and professional growth through competency development, but also brainstorming, spitballing, 1-1’s with colleagues and Friday bars.
Infomedia processes over 6 million articles per year, which we convert into impactful tools for our clients. Content flows 24/7 and our 3.000+ customers give our applications more than 40.000 daily users. Keeping uptime near 100%, response time near 0 in a growing dataset, and keeping our users, developers and customers happy with new products and technologies is why we need you.
We think you’ll fit in perfectly if you believe in:
- Open-mindedness and teamwork
- System up-time + continuous deployment = fun
- Keeping hackers out
- Perfection is achieved in iterations.
In terms of skills, we’d like you to be familiar with:
- Ansible, SQL and Lucene
- Windows and Linux servers
- IT security
- AD and O365
- Networking, LB and VPN
- Zabbix or similar monitoring.
We expect you to:
- Be punctual and responsible
- Be part of our off-hour’s duty plan (very few calls)
- Love hosting microservices.
The job is full time. The work hours are somewhat flexible, but one from the team must be present between 8 and 17 for pressing support matters.
What we offer:
A key role in our IT Operations team, where you maintain and develop our platform. The role comes with a great deal of autonomy and responsibility. There’s room for reflection, for deep focus, and teamwork.
You’ll be a part of a small but strong professional team of 5, supporting 390 VMs, 150 colleagues in Copenhagen including 10 developers and a small AI team. The team is extended with an IT supporter in Olso, Stockholm and Tallinn.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Claus Lindquist Henriksen, Head of Technology.
