Experienced product owner for AML
Would you like to be a part of BEC's anti-money laundering (AML) program? BEC has a clear strategy for a significant strengthening of services within the AML area. We want to develop the AML-solution of the future together with our customers.
Can you ensure the right prioritization of tasks and assignments to the team members to fulfill the requirements of the stakeholders? And do you have a commercial and business-oriented mindset together with the ability to show reliability as the customers' representative in BEC? Then it might be you we are looking for.
You will prioritize the backlog to reflect the need of our customers
You will be a part of one of the highest priorities in BEC, the Financial Crime Program. The program shall deliver IT solutions for the future. We must support our customers by building secure technology that ensures and detect potential financial crime (AML & fraud).
As a product owner in BEC, you have the responsibility for ensuring that both stakeholders and the team is certain about the goal for the product, while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the features or components of the team. The role is significant in maximizing the value produced by the team and ensuring stories meet to the user's needs and comply with the Definition of Done (DoD). You will have significant relationships and responsibilities both outside and inside the development team e.g. responsibility for review and prioritizing of the backlog in cooperation with Product Manager (PM). Besides this you will meet with customers, Business Owners (BO), and work close together with the department manager, the scrum master and other agile roles in the ART (Agile Release Train) and other stakeholders.
Your tasks will among others be:
- Active follow up on backlog, so it reflects the prioritization
- Define user stories in cooperation with the team
- Sparring on actual cases and tasks
- Financial responsibility for development tasks as well as for maintenance tasks
- Following the market development in the financial sector and participating in sector work
- Sparring with customers regarding strategic development
The team will work with nearshore consultants based in Warsaw, Poland.
As a person you are organized, and you stick to the principles and values setup in the agile way of working in SAFe, which we have been working by in BEC for the last 3 years. You are an excellent communicator both in written and verbal, making it easy for you to present complex information. Besides this you are analytical, stress robust and you always deliver on your goals. You are good at creating a close collaboration with your stakeholders, and you take pride in meeting the customers' expectations.
We expect that you:
- Hold a bachelor or masters degree or similar education within finance, IT etc.
- Have experience working with AML, preferably from a central AML function or as an AML product owner
- Have the ability to translate high level demands to user stories
- Have experience working with budget and financials
- Hold a certification of SAFe or are willing to obtain one (will be offered)
- Are fluent in Danish and English both written and verbal
