In the Service Unit of Siemens  Gamesa the OT SOC (Operational Technology Security Operations Center) team works with Cybersecurity topics in the OT domain such as Incident Handling, Threat Intelligence and SIEM monitoring, all related to our customer’s assets in the wind farms we are servicing all over the world.

When joining the OT SOC team there will be an onboarding period and based on your background this will include both internal and external training in both OT and Cybersecurity. Furthermore, there will be continuous training to ensure your competences are growing with the company and the trends within Cybersecurity.

How to contribute to our vision

The OT SOC team operates 24/7 365 days, and you will be part of a fixed work-schedule divided into rotations of 6 weeks, including a 19 days period with no planned shifts. The 6 weeks rotations are divided into: 1 week working day shift, 1 week working evening shift, 1 week working night shifts and a 19 days period with no planned shifts.

An important part of this role is responding to Cybersecurity incidents in the OT environment on our customer’s wind farms. You will be analyzing events and logs from wind farms and the OT environment in our SIEM systems. You will be using threat intelligence to analyze possible threats, and manage vulnerabilities impacting our customer’s fleets.

You will be monitoring and maintaining endpoint protection and other Cybersecurity systems, and you will be part of a continuous development of the OT SOC team, just like you will support the business in developing new Cybersecurity services.

What you need to make a difference

Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for...

Candidates holding a diploma degree or more in Cybersecurity, or a bachelor or more in IT and data science. Having a valid certificate in network or Cybersecurity will be beneficial.

We expect you to be familiar with SOC related Cybersecurity topics, such as SIEM, Vulnerability Management, Incident Handling, Threat Hunting and Threat Intelligence. If you have experience working in a 24/7 shifts this will be beneficial.

You are familiar with OT environments such as SCADA and Industrial Control Systems and understand the difference between OT and IT. Furthermore, you have a solid understanding of Windows, Linux and complex network infrastructure.

You are a dedicated team–player, who can work and make decisions independently. You have a personal drive and a curious mind-set, and you work structured and result-oriented, while maintaining the ability of focusing on the business and the customer’s needs.

Besides English, which is the corporate language in Siemens Gamesa, it will be an advantage if you also master Danish in both verbal and written form.
