Product Owner - Next Generation Safety Solution
At Novo Nordisk, we have a passion for improving patients’ lives all over the world. Are you the Product Owner who would like to help us bringing that passion to life? Then please apply and become the newest member of the Research & Development IT organization.
About the department
You will be part of the Safety & Regulatory Solutions Department, belonging to Research & Development IT and will be located in Bagsværd, Denmark. We are a dedicated team of 23 people, responsible for the implementation & development, support & maintenance and operation of R&D IT’s transformational projects and applications.
Our aim is to increase the value generation to our business stakeholders through the implementation and development of Digital Solutions.
In Novo Nordisk we are undertaking a large-scale digital transformation and we have high ambitions for our next generation Safety Solutions.
As our new Product Owner you will be responsible for providing a clear vision and an ambitious direction to one of the agile delivery teams in our Next Generation Safety Project in R&D.
Your starting point is to define the product vision with the business owners and product management. This will require an in-depth insight in the Safety business area, the pharmacovigilance processes in Novo Nordisk and the overall digital transformation ambitions.
From there you will, in close interaction with your stakeholders and team members, maximize the value of the product. This will require you to drive a structured process around the management of the backlog and alignment of priorities within the team. One of your key challenges will be to keep the business organization’s focus on the delivery of value rather than having a solution focus only.
You will manage the product roadmap and work with the product backlog daily, ensuring that backlog items are groomed and refined in collaboration with the team. You will explore new features and develop a process for monitoring and analysing new digital claims. Together with the delivery team you will release new features to production and follow up on the value realization of these features.
You will be working closely together with Product Management, RTE, other Product Owners, Scrum Master, the delivery team and business stakeholders in a very dynamic setting.
You as a person
We are looking for someone who is ambitious, proactive and passionate about Agile ways of working. Through your strong communication, presentation and leadership skills you build a strong network and a collaborative work environment. You are structured and process oriented in the way you think and work.
You get energized from working with people in a fast-moving environment and your key trades will include your ability to learn, react and adapt to changes and share experiences. You like to challenge the status quo and inspire the people in the team and the programme with your can-do attitude.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in most of the following skills & experiences:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Product Owner in large transformational projects or in large international organizations
- Hands-on experience with Agile SAFe processes and principles
- You are passionate about IT and digital solutions and have this backed up by a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in this area or related fields
- Experience / exposure to Pharmacovigilance processes will be a clear advantage
It is essential that you can use your good interpersonal and communication skills to achieve results together with others. We treasure the positive atmosphere in our team and count on you to engage and participate in a positive manner.
Our corporate language is English, and we expect you to be fluent.
