For our Data and Controlling team in the Service business unit, we are looking for a talented SQL developer looking to drive continuous improvement activities and development of our financial controlling products internally.
You will become part of a dynamic and engaged team, primarily consisting of two economists, where your work tasks will be creative solutions, development and maintenance of our databases and software solutions. The interface and collaboration with financial functions within Siemens Gamesa is key to the success of our Data and Controlling team.
How to contribute to our vision
The job responsibility evolves around developing and maintaining SQL solutions, resource and financial modelling, financial algorithms, master data management, business intelligence solutions, data warehouse solutions. The ideal person is experienced in SQL (T-SQL is a bonus) and data warehouse dimension modelling and it is important to have high professional integrity on the deliveries, to ensure the validity of the models.
The deliverables of the job are estimates of project resource consumption and planned cost, user interfaces as OLAP cubes and power BI.
You will take part in shaping the future of wind energy by taking ownership of functional system design and application development, being responsible for own development activities in collaboration with business controllers within the team and in other departments around the globe.
What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. In order for you to succeed in this position you should have a few years of experience with SQL development, and have developed an holistic understanding of processes and systems used in the financial or controlling fields, ideally from the wind or other service industries. It would be highly beneficial if you bring a distinct affinity for IT and Digitalization processes and understand the basics of agile IT product development.
Specifically we are looking for developers with proven experience with Business Intelligence, PowerBI reporting, and maintenance of data warehouses based on fact/dimensions (Kimball) and OLAP Cubes. The work tasks evolves around creating algorithms for financial and resource modelling of projects in Siemens Gamesa and to support the organization with relevant information for decision making.
You have a high professional competency and you have a desire to develop your skills. You have good collaboration skills and you can manage to act in different cultural contexts.
