IT Integration Specialist with strong technical, architectural and communication competencies

Will you play a key role in designing, implementing, and developing integrations and solutions for our external and internal customers? You lead analysis and design to optimize core processes in the business. Some of the other responsibilities include architecture design, development, and following through with testing, documentation, and deployment. Our business processes and IT solutions are closely integrated with the Nordic and other European TSOs - operating in close to real time. Our development team in Nordic RSC consists of experienced team members within frontend and backend application development, and we will like you as the Integration Specialist to lead the integration area and be part of the development team. Our office is in Copenhagen Towers, Ørestad.

A newly created position in a newly established IT organisation

Besides in-house developed applications, Nordic RSC has procured an IT application that will be the leading application platform in the collaboration between the RSC and the Nordic TSOs. To support the implementation, the RSC is searching for an experienced IT Integration Specialist, who can coordinate the development of the detailed integration work needed, develop detailed technical implementation guides and organize the work in a structured way. Furthermore, coordinating with all relevant stakeholders requires a quite substantial effort.

Key challenges will be:

  • Integration architecture for in-house and external applications including implementation and integration testing
  • Integration architecture for the new IT application platform
  • Integrational collaboration across the Nordics and in Europe (ENTSO-E)
  • Design and implement communication platforms and channels (ECP/EDX, OPDM, OPDE, FTP)
  • Data Management for internal business requirements (Data orchestration, datawarehouse)

As our critical systems are based upon Azure Stack (on premise) we need to rethink how we extract data and how we integrate systems - taking advantage of new technologies while maintaining a solid focus on security.

In the role of IT Integration Specialist you will work independently on the input given by the colleagues on the business side and external stakeholders. You will define implementation guides (i.e. define transmission formats, protocols) based on the existing structure and practice as well as applications already in place in the Nordic RSC.

Dedicated senior IT Integration Specialist

You have 10 years of experience within IT solution architecture, systems development and integrations. Ideally you are a former Integration Specialist/Developer, with in-depth knowledge about interface management and experience with defining and consuming detailed interface descriptions. You are experienced working with Microsoft Cloud technologies as well as CI/CD e.g. Azure DevOps and Git – and have expert knowledge of APIs, xml, xsd, json, powershell, regular expressions, swagger, REST, and other integration formats. Furthermore, you are fluent in C# and .NET including .net core – and preferably you have knowledge of a secondary language such as Python, F#, R, java, JavaScript etc. Experience with MongoDB and NoSQL databases. Finally, you have experience with integration tools (e.g. BizTalk, amtp, Kafka, Azure Integration Framework). Proficiency in English is required (company language).

In addition, you have experience with technical writing, requirement specifications, and defining implementation guides/exchange formats as well as the Ability to draft accurate documentation that supports the project management effort and coding. As a person you are a team worker with excellent communication skills and an international mindset. You are analytical and understand complex environments. You have a will and a thirst for learning new and emerging technologies and an agile mindset and ability to accept change. Your focus on quality, correctness, security, robustness and value creation is combined with excellent customer relation skills and the ability to resolve conflicting interests.

The energy sector in Europe is undergoing a dramatic transition towards the fully carbon neutral, sustainable energy system. The Nordic countries have set particularly stretching targets for this transition during this decade. Nordic RSC is a key player in this transition as the provider of regional power system information and analysis to support the national transmission system operators to ensure the efficient operation and high security of power supply at any time. Nordic RSC was established in 2017 and is still in a fast development phase. We are an entrepreneurial team of mainly young international professionals; we work closely together with our Nordic colleagues and external partners and strive to deliver results in time to support the Energy transition. As a part of our further development Nordic RSC will be incorporated as an independent company. A major implementation project for this change is just initiated.
