About the team

The development of the future Big Data analytical cloud platform for predictive analytics has started… and if you want to be the be a key player in this next step in our digital transformation, you are our new Software Engineer.

As Software Engineer in Vibration Diagnostic Development, you will be a part of a global agile team of 12 with data scientists, software developers and specialists in both Brande, Denmark and in Pamplona, Spain. The agile team is dedicated to development of an industry leading cloud native diagnostic platform for vibration diagnostics.

We have recently transitioned to a SAFe Agile setup in Service Digital and we will provide the required training for entering into the Agile Release Train.
As Software Engineer in the Vibration Diagnostic Development team, you will have a great opportunity to work with the newest technologies within Azure cloud and influence the development path for our application suite.

How to contribute to our vision

After the merger between Siemens and Gamesa and with the recent acquisition of Senvion, we now need to develop a new application to cover all the OEMs and other OEMs in service. At the same time, we need to prepare the future application for the expected fleet growth and handling of more than 50k turbines and 1TB daily incoming vibration data. As Software Engineer, you will drive the development of the new cloud native application and ensure that not only functioning software is developed but build it in a way that is easy to refactor, self-documenting, and as a result easier to debug.

More specifically, your work will cover three main points:

  • Responsible for cloud-based DevOps of the Vibration Diagnostic application suite in Python and React.
  • Collaborate in an Agile (SAFe) environment with data scientists, architects and IT.
  • Responsible for secure collection of data from turbines (SCADA).

What you need to make a difference

Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. The preferred candidate has a degree within the fields of Software Engineering, Software Development, Computer Science or equivalent.

You have 3+ years of experience working with Python, preferrably in an Agile/SCRUM/SAFe/XP environment.

You have an analytical and innovative mindset. The ideal candidate is not afraid of working with terabytes of data and you have experience working with Azure DevOps, Python, React, test automation, Git, Azure services and cloud computing (e.g. Kubernetes, Functions, Machine learning, web services, storage etc.).
