Test & Release Analyst

Do you want to be part of a fast-moving Agile team? You will be assuring the infrastructure, network and backend system deliveries. Providing the test capabilities and ensuring the release, deployment and rollout for 500 stores across 5 countries. Leading the test prioritisation within the backlog of the team, and owning the deployment process into the stores and communicating the change process and reporting.

Inspirational Analyst with a strong focus in Agile, delivering infrastructure-focused first-class solutions

In this role as the Test and Release Analyst, you will be responsible for assuring global test practices and the management of the releases into stores. Liaising with the Scrum Master, Technology Product Manager, the Network and Operations team as well as the wider test and release team.

You will be working within the Technology Commercial Product Team within Specsavers, spread across 6 countries. Working in an Agile structure enables the speedy delivery ensuring stores to operate in a thriving and challenging environment. The team is focused on implementing improvements in operating systems, infrastructure and security as well as HR, Data and Finance systems. Furthermore, you will be responsible for:

  • Contribution within all Agile ceremonies and engagement within the team
  • Ensuring test coverage and scenarios for deliveries within the team
  • Support and write UAT scripts coordinating test continuity
  • Take changes through the change management process and manage the physical deliveries into the stores.

Detail-oriented and ambitious team player

To be a successful candidate, you would have a curious mind, to be able to interact with a team that is not all in a central location. Attention to detail ensuring that the initiatives are in the best possible place for a successful delivery. You will also need to be able to plan and manage sequential deliveries, understanding and managing risk to ensure our stores are in the best position to operate as effectively as possible

You have an eye for detail without losing perspective of the bigger picture. To possess this role you must have:

  • Knowledge of ITIL 4 practices
  • Knowledge of Microsoft and Meraki environments
  • Experience of working in Agile environments
  • Experience of working with network and operational implementation and/or within a retail environment
  • Other testing qualifications.

You will be reporting directly to the Technology Product Manager for Commercial in the Northern European region and will be based at our Northern Europe headquarter in Copenhagen. Also, bear in mind that this role requires some travelling.
