Inspired Technology Engineer wanted for House of Awesome Brick Play is where the heart is – and where the WIFI auto-connects.

Are you an awesome, curious, and experienced technical driver? Are you a DevOps or Engineer with a history of building solid digital solutions? Can you set the direction for one of Denmark’s most unique digital landscapes?

It’s been three years since we ran the Hello World script, and LEGO House opened its doors to playful souls of all ages, right here in Billund. We blend physical and digital play experience in a diverse set up of scanners, robots, and screens, and we use technology to inspire creativity in new and wondrous ways. You can build LEGO sea animals and watch them come to life in our digital aquarium, create LEGO stop motion movies and scan your magic wristband to collect memories from your day.

As a Technical Engineer in LEGO House, your greatest task is to ensure that each guest and colleague has the World’s Best Playdate. Together with our new and developing Technology Team, you will be building the framework for a stable operation across our vast concoction of digital technologies, you will design the technical roadmap for the future, and ensure that LEGO House remains relevant for generations to come.

You will be based in LEGO House as part of LEGO House Technology, a new and developing team within the KIRKBI IT SSC umbrella.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Build and run long-term technical solutions
  • Own and evolve the LEGO House system landscape
  • Drive the technical operations of our Experience Zones
  • Stay on top of new technologies to awe and inspire
  • Collaborate with Head of Cyber Security to ensure safe, digital experiences

Creativity comes in many forms… and software solutions

Whether you are a software developer, a solution designer or network engineer is not essential. You are driven by a strong technical curiosity and passion for learning, which will help you understand the bigger picture and intricacies of the LEGO House system landscape. Your network experience and your eye for great UX will be an awesome advantage, as will your ways of challenging the boundaries and the status quo.

LEGO House hosts a unique landscape. Therefore, your educational background isn’t as important to us as your proven ability to create long-term technical solutions, which you have gained from your 5+ years of experience within the field.

In addition to your technical skills are your playful mind, your dynamic and energetic ways of working, and your heart-warming personality. We expect you to speak and write Danish and English fluently, and maybe even a third language – coding counts.
