Manager for Core Customer-Facing Application

eDC is one of our core customer-facing applications, and as Manager for the eDC department, part of Global IT Commercial Applications & Integrations, you will lead 2 development teams and one external vendor responsible for the development of the eDC platform. The department currently consists of 7 colleagues from multiple countries and is growing.
Build and develop
You will focus on developing the department, ensuring that direction and performance is in line with expectations and through this, bring the application and the organisation to the next level.
As part of the Management team, you will play an active part in setting the direction for customer applications in DSV Panalpina.
Working in Global IT in DSV Panalpina A/S, you will be part of a dynamic and informal environment where people speak their minds. This allows us to move fast, stay ahead and face challenges head-on.
Set the direction and create transparency
Besides leading and developing your department, you will become responsible for stakeholder management towards the product owner of application. In the process, you will create transparency towards the business and function as a link between Global IT and the rest of the business stakeholders.
More specifically, you will:
- Build, lead and develop the eDC department
- Develop work methods and processes
- Report to the management group and relevant parts of the DSV Panalpina business
- Participate in board and leadership team meetings
- Collaborate with the DSV Panalpina business about the strategy for the area
- Follow up on budgets
You will be based at our Headquarters in Hedehusene and can expect 20-30 travel days a year.
Experienced people leader with IT knowledge
As a leader, you are independent as well as well-grounded, and you know how to execute and act in a global IT organisation. You are structured which enables you to make the necessary and right decisions. Furthermore, you have the ability to build and lead a team across borders. Also, you can ensure transparency allowing all involved business stakeholders to get insight into deliveries and processes.
- Bring experience leading international IT teams
- Have experience working in a customer centred setup
- Have solid stakeholder management skills
- Have experience with IT development and Agile processes
- Speak and write English effortlessly
