We are looking for a DevOps specialist ready to share and grow

We are looking for a competent and responsible DevOps specialist for our PIPE team, which takes pride in delivering top quality in all deliveries.

You will become part of a team, with the system ownership of BEC's entire development platform and associated support tools. The team works on expanding and optimizing the platform to make it consistent, efficient, and modern for the development organization throughout the application and software lifecycle. Your daily work will consist of both new development, sparring, maintenance, and support.

We work, among other things with the following products and technologies on both Windows and Linux:

  • Application Lifecycle Management
    • Confluence, FishEye, Jira, Jira ServiceDesk
  • Continuous Integration
    • Gradle / Maven, Jenkins Pipelines
  • Source Control Management
    • Mercurial, Git (BitBucket)
  • Development platform
    • ElasticStack, IntelliJ, SonarQube, SpringSource Tool Suite, VSCode

Primary tasks and responsibilities

In the position as DevOps specialist, you get a challenging job, where you participate in all aspects of architecture, development and implementation. In the role of a professional advisor and sparring partner, you will help design innovative technical solutions that support architectural and technology needs of our clients.

You are expected to purposefully take ownership of DevOps to ensure the realization of the business gains in both the short and the long term, and to help ensure that BEC's development organization works with a modern and effective platform that demands transparency throughout the software life cycle. Your primary tasks and responsibilities will include:  

  • Help expanding and optimizing the platform through new initiatives and development
  • The software lifecycle incl. patching and maintenance
  • Support and sparring with customers and colleagues
  • Optimizing and developing the CI/CD platform to enable DevOps culture in BEC and support the TechUp strategy
  • Delivering a tool stack, and best practices that supports the coherence throughout the SDLC

We are looking for you who love to explore and learn!

Preferably, you have an educational background at master’s or bachelor level within IT e.g. computer science, IT engineer, computer technician or similar and practical experience in one or more areas of ALM, CI / CD, SCM, Development Tools. If you have experience from the financial sector, or a major consultancy where you have implemented similar - this is only a plus.
