How to contribute to our vision
For our Software Development and Validation team within Loads, Performances & Control (LPC) in the Service Business Unit we are looking for a new skilled and dedicated Software Developer for development of our G2 and G4 turbines. The main mission as Software Developer is to develop the software of the controller according to the specifications of the functional team based on customer needs. In addition, you will be responsible for verifying the software in a test room to reduce as much as possible the software issues before being validated on site.

This position has a strong interaction with other engineering disciplines, mainly with control and testing. Consequently, the profile counts with an overall understanding of the turbine operational working and the testing methodologies and methods.
Your responsibilities and tasks include
- Implement new functionalities or changes in the wind turbine controller according to input specifications
- Verify the software implemented complies with the specified algorithms
- Review and correct understanding of the requirements specified and written by the functional team.
- Prepare and maintain the documentation of the software of the controller
- Evaluate the wind turbine controller performance availability in terms of memory space, processor load, and tasks cycle times
What you need to make a difference

The ideal candidate holds an academic degree in software engineering, controls engineering or similar in combination with thorough practical experience with
- C++, Modula2, Pascal or similar software languages preferably from wind turbine development, control systems, energy generation systems or similar
- Software development systems, tools and procedures for embedded software
- Software management and integrity tools and processes and the full software life cycle management, like Jira
- Factory acceptance tests (FAT)
- Communication protocols like CAN or Profibus
You have a high professional competency and you have a desire to develop your skills. You have good collaboration skills and you can manage to act in different cultural contexts. To thrive in this position, you must have a strong result- and customer-oriented approach.
